LEGACY TO MY CHILDREN

Oh my children I love you so
its been my priviledge to help you grow

You are so smart, you are so wise
you are gorgeous, a joy to my eyes

I love you, I love you, thats as it should be
never demanding, always given free

You've made me happy, you've made me weep
but the love you've given make the memories I keep

As you have grown I've grown too
as you have helped me, I hope I've helped you
And when you are parents with babes of your own
you'll discover the joys I have known

Then when you are gone you always will be
alive in your children, real in their memory

That's how you will know you did your job well
you aren't gone forever, for in them you dwell

I love you, I cherish you, what more could I
ask
that was the easiest part of my lifelong task
