Dawn
I see the darknes of night, and savour it's refuge.
It's blanket of obscurity a cherished friend to hidden tears.
A mask to hide the face of one who can no longer disguise
the pain of ending, of losing what we might have been.
Dawn will arrive again too quickly.
It's light a signal flare of an ending love.
And I must face a new day in a world without you in it.
My sin was to love without condition
My dream but to make you mine alone.
I can no longer love you only so much---only to a limit.
And though I will love you forever,
I can never love you again.

This is a continuation to my first poem "Lovelourn".
