Activities
Include in all activities, stopping what you are doing at midnight New Years Eve to yell "Happy New Year!" Have fun noisemakers and party hats on hand to add to the festivities!
1. Get the gang together for an all night slumber party
2. Have a junk food feast
3. Rent a lot of videos you've been wanting to watch and view all night
4. Go ice skating untill after Midnight
5. Attend "First Night" Parties thrown in your community
6. New Years Day Watch all the Football games on TV
7. Organize a New Years Day football game in the snow!
8. Go out bartering in your neighborhood with a 'white elephant' gift you've gotten at Christmas. Go door to door and try to barter up, who knows?... you might start out with a 'drink mug' and end up with something really cool like a 'tv' or 'CD player' !




Recipes


Purple Cow


Ingredients Needed:
2 Cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
3 TBS frozen grape-juice concentrate thawed
1 Cup Milk


Put grape juice conentrate and milk in blender. Process until smooth. Add softened ice cream and beat at low speed. Serve immediately. Serves 4
Touchdown Munch


Ingredients Needed:


2 TBS butter or margarine
1/4 Cup Honey
1 TBS lemon peel, grated
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 Quarts popcorn, popped
1-1/2 roasted peanuts
Optional: 1-1/2 Cups raisins


In small saucepan, melt butter or margarine. Stir in honey, lemon peel and cinnamon. Drizzle over popcorn in large bowl. Add raisins and peanuts. Toss gently untill well mixed. Serve immediately or place individual portions in self sealing storage bags. Makes 2-1/2 quarts.
