Winter Games

Loads of fun for everyone!

Care to Play a few 'Reindeer' Games?
then you've come to the right place!!!
"Snow-Ball Fight"

Children form two teams. Each is given a stack of tissue paper of construction paper, a different color for each team. For a timed period of 2 minutes, the children crumple the paper into "snowballs"--you'll need a lot of paper. At second signal, for a timed period of 3 minutes, teams crouch behind established "forts" (chairs, crates, etc.) and throw balls into opposing team's fort while fending off the balls being thrown into thier own!
"Cotton-Bowl Relay"

Set two large bowls on two small tables, sprinkle around the empty bowls small balls of cotton. Divide the players into two teams. Blindfold the first player on each team. Hand each a large wooden spoon. at the signal "go" ask each one to spoon into the bowl as many cotton balls as he can in one minute. Inasmuch as the balls have little weight, the blindfolded dipper cannot tell whether he is scooping balls or missing them. When the first two players are through, count the number of balls in each bowl. Let each member of the team compete. Add the totals. The team getting the most balls in the bowl is the winner.!
"Ping Pong Blow"

Put a ping pong ball in the middle of a table. Divide the players into two teams standing at opposite ends of the table. Using no hands each team tries to blow the ball off the opposite side of the table. This game is as much fun to watch as it is to play! Hillarious!
The Cat and the Mouse"

You'll need stuffed animals or beanbags for this one. Sit in a circle. Two stuffed animals or beanbags represent a mouse and a cat. Each player passes the stuffed 'mouse' (or beanbag) to the player on his right. The players continue passing it as fast as they can. Then they pass the 'cat'. The cat tries to catch the mouse. If the cat catches the mouse, pass the animals or beanbags to the left.....just for fun to keep the action going OR if you want to make the game competitive the player who is caught with the mouse when the cat catches up to it is out, continue play untill you get down to the last two who would be the winners and who get to then start the cat and mouse out for the next game.
"Messengers"

Players sit in a circle. Take turns starting. The first player starts out whispering a message to the player next to him and so on untill it goes all around the circle. The last player says the message aloud. Then the first player tell the group the original message....it's really funny what it ends up to be! Try this with tongue twisters or funny short personal messages that will crack everyone up!
"Memory Challenge"

Collect about 10-15 small items around the house, perhaps a clothes pin, a safety pin, a pencil, piece of jewelry....things that would all fit on a tray or large plate all at once. Bring the Tray out and allow player to observe what is on it for about one minute then take it away. Give each player a pencil and a piece of paper and have them write down all the items they can remember.....the one who recalls the most correctly is the winner!
"Touch and Tell"

Gather 5 or 6 items from around your household.....the more unusal the better. Put them into a container or bag that cannot be seen through. Give each player a pencil and a piece of paper. Take the bag one by one around to each player. Let them stick in thier hand to feel the items...... they have to try to guess what they are and write them down. It's really fun if you put in items that have an unusal texture or gooey feel to them! Players write down thier answers and the one who guesses most correctly wins!

BOBSLEDING BODIES

This is a new team relay game best played barefoot. You will need at least 6 people. You will need masking tape that can easily come off. Duct tape is okay. Everyone gets into a team of 3 or 4 people. They sit down and each player except the first person in line wraps their feet around the person in front of them. They line up. About 10 - 15 feet away are masking tapes taped to the floor (exact same length for each team). On the word GO the teams must use only their hands to slide themselves towards the tape. If any team breaks apart they must get back together again. The first team to reach the tape wins!

Just getting started here...will have more games up soon! Be sure to check Back......*S*
