The next thing she remembers is waking up, her wounds being tended by an unknown, unnamed female. She wrinkled her nose as the scent of some sort of antiseptic wafted around her head. She looked up and was greeted by a warm smile and a cool compress. She calms a bit, almost forgetting that she has no idea where she is. As that thought crosses her mind, the fear and panic start to rise again. She tries to stand, but she is bound, tied to what she could only call a primative version of a hammock. As she struggled the woman tried to calm her by softly stroking her forehead and cheek. After a short period of time she relented, as she realized there was no way out of her bonds. She figured, she might as well accept the healing, and hopefully, once she was healed, she would be released. If she only knew how foolish she was to think that.
After a few days the wounds began to heal, and her strength returned. She thought only of returning to her home, but then she realized, she had no idea where that was. Feeling lost, helpless and alone, she looked to the nameless woman, hoping this woman would take pity on her and offer some aid. The woman smiled warmly, helped her to stand, and took her before the ones in charge. She felt herself tremble as the intimidating power of the men shook her to her very soul. In an instant, she felt a fire burn deeply within her, one she had not felt before, but one she willingly accepted. Before she knew what hit her, she felt the steel about her neck, and heard the tumblers lock. Her time with these people had moments of glory, and some, that were not so pleasant.
She was trained in the ways of service and was beginning to learn to dance, when she broke a rule, spoke what she knew to be the truth, stripped of her ko`lar, branded a liar and banished. She wandered aimlessly about Gor, spending most of her time hiding, and allowing her wounds to heal; the physical, as well as the mental ones. After a long period of time, she once again felt the fire burn within her. In her heart, in her soul, she knew it was useless to fight it.
So, yet again she began to travel, after a period of time, she stood
in the city of Ar. Suddenly, she felt as a child again, she felt a happiness
that she had long since forgotten. As she spent more time at the gracious
inn, she began to feel warm and accepted. but alas, yet again she
found herself on the move, and was brought to a new place, a lovely, warm
inn, settled in the city of Talmont. A place where she may heal,
and yet again, find the fire, and nurture it. She hopes to continue to
grow, learn and remain at what she now considers...her home...
