My Art Page

This page has some pictures of things that I have drawn, painted, or created

This is a "Dead Cat" that I drew with Oil Crayons. It was also gone over with terpantine to thin out the oil and make some of the parts on it appear a bit more smooth. To me it symbolizes Egyptian art. They worshipped cats and held them very high to their religeon. The cat in this picture may be dead, but he is rearing up on his hind legs to show that he still has strength and power, even after death.

This is a picture that I used a dry paint brush to do the back ground. The paper had almost a wall paper feel and look to it, especially after I got the first coat of dry paint down. Then I took very wet paint and dribbled it on to the paper carefully. It looks like I just splattered paint on a paper and said "ok I am done" but it wasn't like that at all. This painting took me approximately 3 weeks to finish. There are several different layers of paint and textures. To create the "reaching" effect, the picture was slammed onto a table at all angles. Then most of the color that was on the painting was outlined with a bit of black.
