Put me in coach, I'm ready to play, today

Hello, and thank you for visiting my webpage. In May of 1998, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Botany, focus in Environmental Science from Miami University. After graduation, I worked for The Nature Conservancy of Missouri for three months as a field botanist. I then was hired by JFNew out of Walkerton, Indiana, where I am currently employed as a botanist and as our Monitoring Program Manager. At JFNew, my primary responsibility is to monitor our mitigation wetlands. I also perform wetland delineations and botanical inventories. One of the more interesting aspects of my job involves taking part in controlled burns, which we use as a method of native habitat management.

So obviously the picture above does not represent what I currently look like. That is a picture of me in 1976 at 3 months of age. Here is a more recent photograph of me with my wife Lindsay and our dog Bootypants from Easter 2000.

Although Lindsay, Booty, and I now live in South Bend, Indiana, I am originally from Painesville, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland. For this reason, I have always been and will always be a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. I also enjoy a wide variety of music, ranging from Metallica to Toad the Wet Sprocket to Blessid Union of Souls, and many of my favorite artists can be found at the Sony music web site.

My resume gives a good summary of what I have accomplished in the past. In my photo album are pictures of some of my friends and family members. My Bahamas page tells about my senior capstone course, "Tropical Flora of the Bahamas", at North Andros during the summer of 1997, and my Peru page tells about the "Natural History of Peru" course that I participated in during spring break of my senior year. In addition, my Missouri page discusses my three months in the lower Ozarks during the summer of 1998. I have recently added my plant photograph page, which shows a variety of the interesting vegetation that I have observed through my work experiences or personal leisure time. So visit some of these sites, and enjoy!
