I call these "abstractions": You focus on a theme, then let the shapes and colors take form... Seeing that there're a few Vancouver clubs on Yahoo! (I follow 4 of them every now and then) I thought it'd be interesting to use that as a theme and see what kind of abstraction I could come up with.

So I completed an original and hoping to get some semblance of it on the screen I scanned it with my handheld B&W scanner. Well, the outcome fell way below my expectations and not feeling in the mood to look for a color scanner at 10:30 PM, I started playing with that B&W image.

First I made a negative image, then added colors, one by one... which eventually led to the above: An image that looks nothing like the original yet I feel in it's own right it represents what I had in mind. So I decided to put it here. What do you think? Tell me. :)
