Welcome to a part of my site that I
have dedicated to my school. I go to
to Notre Dame High School in Belmont.
It may be all girls, but it is full of
great memories and friends!!! =)

This is a poem I wrote for our Literary Magazine.
It is called Hope In A Child!

What if I told you that I owned the moon and the stars?
Would you give me a disbelieving glance or stare in awe?
If you don't believe...go sit by the sea.
My moon contorls the tides, and the stars set the dreamers free.
My stars hold countless wishes in hand.
You still don't believe, Why can't you understand?!?!?!

Weathermen predict while scientists contradict.
The guilty look for a way out,
while the condemned search for help.
Sitting on top and looking down,
I love watching the children,
So innocent and never wearing a frown,
wishing for dolls and pet unicorns,
They have been rulers in a land of imagination since the day they were born.
With the sun in their pocket they shine at the world.
Searching for fun, just as I wish I could.
So oblivious to the horrors of life,
For they are able to see through that and live on without strife.

When the world seems more than you can bear,
Find a child and she will care.
When everything you do seems wrong,
And the stormy weather lasts too long,
Find a child and she will greet you,
With open arms and daisies in her hair,
She will run to you, with so much to share.

So as you look up at the night sky,
And stare at a star and wish you could fly,
Look back at the child and you will realize,
that no matter how much you want it, you cannot die.
She is asleep behind you as innocent as can be,
for she is oblivious to the things she cannot see.
Although she is dreaming of nothing but the monkeys at the zoo...
You cannot fly away because she wants to grow up to be just like you.

Please feel free to share with me your poetry! I would love to hear it!! :)
