Kurt Russell
KURT RUSSELL began acting before he was ten. He was the star of a TV show at age 12 (THE TRAVELS OF JAIMIE MCPHEETERS). He did a dozen or so Disney projects and then quit acting to play professional baseball but returned in 1979. Some of his better movies are THE THING, BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, TEQUILA SUNRISE, TANGO AND CASH, STARGATE, and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK.
Born: March 17, 1951
His current common-law wife is GOLDIE HAWN.
Russell's father Bing (who was also a baseball player) was the deputy sheriff on the BONANZA tv show.
The remake of "THE THING" was a great movie with excellent special effects (above and far left). The original starring JAMES ARNESS (left) (Marshal Dillon of Gunsmoke fame and brother of Peter Graves of Airplane fame) had cheesy '50s special effects, but when I saw it at a young age it was majorly scary.
"I dunno what the hell's in there, but it's weird and pissed off whatever it is."
