After graduating from Emerson College and holding several odd jobs, STEVEN WRIGHT attended an "open mike" audition and became a regular performer at DING HO'S COMEDY CLUB AND CHINESE RESTAURANT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW in August 1982 and was asked to return a week later. This success led to appearances on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN. In September of 1990, he starred in an HBO special. Wright says, "My whole act is just a funny pack of lies." | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
