Close to the door he paused to stand
as he took his class ring off her hand
all who were watching dare not speak
as a silent tear ran down his cheek
and through his mind the memories ran
of the moments they walked
and laughed in the sand
but now her eyes were so terrible cold
for he would never again have her to hold
they watched in silence
as he bent near
and whispered the words...
"I LOVE YOU" in her ear
he touched her face and started to cry
as he put on his ring and wanted to die
and just then the wind began to blow
as they lowered her casket into the snow...
this is what happens
to man alive...
when friends let friends...
drink and drive.
I recieved this poem as a chain letter but i decided to put it here so it could reach more people. . .
remember to always say what you mean. if you love someone, tell them. don't be afraid to express yourself. reach out and tell someone what they mean to you. because when you decide that it is the right time, it might be too late. seize the day. never have regrets. and most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today. tell your friends about this poem. it could make a difference. the difference between doing all that you can or having regrets whick may stay with you forever.
