The 'Eagle' represents
freedom,honor,dignity and pride.
It's wings shelter it's young,
and protects them from harm.
The 'Eagle's Spirit' flies free,
like the wind beneath his wings.
The 'Eagle' does whatever it has to,
to survive and protect his family.
When "Time is right" the 'Eagle'
teaches his young to be free;
and to soar the skies
in search of their destiny.
The 'Eagle' in my life is you "Dad"
you have always been my strength.
You have taught me
humility, honor, and pride.
You have taught me
to follow my dreams,
and to be true to myself.
Through the years,
you have been teaching me to 'Fly'.
When ever I have fallen,you were there.
Never judging, but always there.
I have always known that you loved me,
and I always knew that you cared.
As I look back on my life,
there's nothing that I would ever change.
You gave me a good life,
the best that you could.
I'd never re-arrange.
It's my time to tell you "Dad"
how much you have given me.
You taught me how to
love and laugh, and yes even to forgive.
You taught me that carrying a grudge
is truly no way to live.
When things got tough and things turned bad;
you taught me to stand my ground.
You never fought my battles for me,
but I always knew you were around.
When I made mistakes or did things wrong,
you "Dad", you told me to sort them out again
and to use my better judgement.
This has made me strong.
I love you more and more
with each and every passing day.
I owe what I am to you.
You have always guided my way.
You have always been my teacher,
friend, and mentor.
There is no finer "Dad" than you.
I am so proud of you.
So, whenever I see an "Eagle in flight'
I always think of you.
The many things you have taught me....
"To thine own self be true".
I will always be in your shadow "Dad"
I hope I always do you proud.
Just like the 'Eagle' soars "Dad";
you are the wind beneath my wings.
I love you "Dad";
of you I am so proud!
Together we will fly!
