Good morning God. Is it morning there?
It is here, on the world you gave us.
Can we talk for a little while...just you and I?
I'm trying so hard and trying to understand
The way you work, and your loving hand.
It's so hard for me to wonder, and try to understand why.
To get to heaven, we all must die.
What will it take to know what is right?
To earn our way to heaven's wonderous light.
In this world we live in
Full of shame...hate and sin
Is this nothing more than a temporary place to wait in?
I wonder why, you choose the ones you do
Why you take them away, and why they are special to you.
Is this heartache, and sorrow a place that we must dwell,
Or is this to teach us humility, or teach us about hell?
Can I talk to you about someone special that you took?
It was my mother, my strength, and my friend.
The heartache,pain,and sorrow,will it ever end?
Dear God, please teach me the way, and help me mend.
You took her so quickly; it seems so unfair
Are you listening God, and are you really there?
Can I ask a question, a favor or two?
Can you tell her I love her and miss her too?
Tell her we are all fine and send her our love.
Tell her we sent it on the wings of a dove.
She taught me about You, and told me of above.
She believed in your teachings, and in your signs of love.
She said there is only one heaven, and only one God up above.
So God, I'm not perfect, and yes I do wrong.
Please help me and love me and help me be strong.
Tell Mom I'll write and send my love soon.
Oh God, one more thing!
When you wisked her away, did she have angel wings?
I know she is watching even tho we're apart.
For you see, I can feel her deep down in my heart.
Tell her she was right about the things that she said.
You've lightened my heart, and cleared up my head.
Thank you for listening and taking the time!
I'll see you both when I get there, when the time is mine.
Thank you God for the strength to go on.
