Hiya everybody!
I am still on the go. I managed to get an hour an a half of sleep before I got up to shower. Despite the lack of sleep I don’t feel too bad. I went to my mom’s to drop of the kiddies, got there about 8:45 this morning and still managed to be on time to meet my sister and dad for 9:00. Now that’s a record I was actually on time for something!! ha!! I even remembered to give my father the birthday card to give to my grandmother. (Gramma is sick so wasn’t at this thingy we went to. Hope she is gonna be o.k.) Anyhow, I had a great day with my father and sister (Jessie). We went to a celebration of 40 years of the Lost Villages in Ingleside, Ontario. Basically what it is, is they put the Seaway in (big man made river) had to move a much of small villages back so they wouldn’t flood. Some of the houses didn’t get moved but were used for experiments, like how long it would take for it to burn, stuff like that I guess. But a lot were moved. I didn’t realize my great aunt Patsy (who I visited today) lived in one of them there houses. It was moved from Farrin’s Point which is where my dad and his brothers and sister were all born. Farrin’s Point is one of the places that is now under water. There is a place called Upper Canada Village, it’s a tourist place that people go to and it’s like stepping back in time. Kinda cool if your into that. Anywho, some of the houses went there from Farina’s Point and I think a church or two. You can see them making cheese, furniture, cutting wood in the old fashioned wood mill, shoeing horses and stuff like that too. ok enough advertising.
So, u know i went with my dad an sister........but........my main purpose there was to dig out some more info on my family tree since they had a bunch of different genealogists there. I think i may have found another 3 generations but I want to verify the link first before I add it to my tree. I also lucked out on getting some inf. to fill in on one of my great-great-great aunts and can fill it down to my generation (sometimes can help later on with filling in a link). Oh..... oh...oh, I also saw my old grade 3 teacher, Mrs. Shouldice pronounced show-l-dice. She remembered me. She called me little Christine nice to see u all grown up.......kinda made me feel like a little kid again
lol and she made me hug her too
lmao
she is a president of one of the genealogy research places.......*shrugs*
Also, i would like to mention the campout thingy again. he he
the count down is on
so now u won’t miss me too much while i am gone for the campout i did two for today and i u r really lucky maybe i will get a chance to write again tomorrow but i doubt it lol
lots of love
chris (still tired but not so grumpy)
