Shades Of Wines

June 1994
by Georges Rosemann

I'd like to make it quite clear
Why to me you are so dear.
So I've created these lines -
All reflections of wines -
To give you some pleasure
As well as good measure.

Your lips have the hint of a Beaujolais;
Your eyes, the soul of a Chardonais;
Your cheeks, the quiet blush of a rose;
Your hair, the satin of a Cabernet.

Though of your beauty I can boast,
There is something much more to toast.
Inside you there's another coast
To be cherished to the utmost:

The sweetness of a rare Sauvignon,
The halo of a Dom Perignon.

Of thee I drink robustly.
Of thee I think heavenly.
Of thee I dream joyfully.
Of thee I gleam blissfully.

Thee I love so completely.
