Catherine,

Here's my first draft of the ceremony - please feel free to change it and to be honest in your critism of it - bear in mind I have never in my life ever done anything remotely like this **nervous smile** Here goes:

Sapphire and Gunther you have chosen to be married in the Celtic season of Samhain. Traditionally this Winter Season brings the gifts of restoration and renewal, but today we slip out of the darkness of Winter and into the light to celebrate your union.

Gate of Gladness
Door of Joy
They cross your threshold this WinterÕs night.

I ask that the blessings of the Bards and Druids be upon you and that their nine jewels protect your souls as you begin your journey together, may these nine jewels be with you today and always:
Song of poetry,
Sustenance of reflection,
Strength of meditation,
Deepening of love,
Response of research,
Replenishment of knowledge,
Illumination of intelligence,
Nurture of understanding,
Exaltation of wisdom

At this time I ask you to exchange your vows and rings.

You have now taken each other as husband and wife and to celebrate your union, in the words of the ancient Celts, the song of Beltane:

I am the calm, I am the quickening,
I am the intoxication and the force,
I am the silence, I am the singer,
I am the stallion galloping to its source.
I am the bright pavilion and the feasting,
I am the wedding couple and the bed,
I am the morning chorus and the heartbeat,
I am the goal to which all paths are led.

Merry meet to All and now to celebrate the newly married couple - I give you Sapphire and GuntherÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ.
