.If you really want to play almost any of White Wolf's games, you really should buy this book. It has beautiful artwork, (especially Max Fellwater, my fav), and a wonderful listing of secondary abilities, which ANY one should have on hand, Vampire, or not, when making your character.
A stepping Stone for Roleplaying...
Vampire is one of the first roleplaying games to escape from the dilema of
Min/Max characters, perpetual fighting, and the constant knowledge that
there is something bigger out there. Instead, the game addresses the
world of political interaction, intrigue, and the root of humanities evils and
good. It requires an equal spread of responsablilty for game creation and
sustenance by both the characters and storyteller. A definite stepping
stone in the waters of roleplaying, its sister games of Wraith and Mage
take the philosophical and humanistic questions of reality to a higher level,
but Vampire is very well written and user friendly...
Of all the Storyteller Games from White Wolf, Werewolf is the one with the most "feeling" to it. From the very first page you can feel the sorrow of the wolf people, crying to their mother for the mistakes from the past. The book has everything you could want. In it, you can find everything you need to start a very interesting story, no matter where in the world you want it. The rules are easy to understand, the artwork can really make you feel the mood of the game, and the book is organized in a very intelligent way. What else can you be looking for. Like every other book from WW, the presentation alone is the book's value, and you won't find missing paragraphs like other products from the Storyteller line. All in all, this is no ordinary game; because you play the part of the ultimate killing machine, it doesn't mean you will always be fighting. The spiritual side of the game (sort of shamanic ethos, with spirits and animal totems) is what makes the role playing a unique experience. I can say that Werewolf is the best. here's only one thing left I can say about this game. "...and a question hangs in the haze... When will you play it?"
The darkest of the dark ..... Vampire explores the depth of your character, Werewolf explores your dedication, Mage your resourcefulness. Wraith simply searches out the point you crack, and give in. The setting is darkly superb and detailed. The gameplay is an exercise in psychosis. Quite radically different in it's gameplay to any other game I've played to date, and despite it being superbly intense, I'm afraid it now sits gathering dust on a shelf. It's not that it's unplayable (quite the opposite), it's simply that the players (and myself) refuse to play it. If you feel you can hack depression, and the intense conflict (in party) that Wraith generates, then play away... The experience is a double edged sword.

Now we know why we fear the Assamites... After reading Clanbook Assamite thoroughly, I understand why these Vampires are the most feared of all Kindred. The book explains the history of the clan and its powerful code of honor, and through all this it becomes clear that the Assamites are fanatics in the truest sence of the word. All is written with an easy to read, although sometimes a bit forced shakespearian, style, and has a clear and ordered layout. The book is simply a must-have for all players and storytellers who wish to use Assamite characters in their chronicles.
The creation of a classic vampire clan Clanbook Tzimisce springs from a truly warped, yet incredibly creative mind. The twisted brainfolds of Mr. Hatch are in full glory throughout the book; from the opening short story, to the amazing character templates that bring the most evil of the vampire clans to the widened eyes of the players. The book is sharp, fun, and horribly, wonderfully deranged. It is clear that clan Tzimisce is to be feared and revered, as well as marveled. Highly, highly recommended for all vampire enthusiasts!
Magic in a world of darkness.... Sometimes the world seems pre-packaged and freshness dated. We shut of our minds and watch the world pass us by while eating our T.V. dinners and acting like we're alright with it. Changeling is about slipping off your rationality and fighting against those who look at the slow death of beauty and think it's acceptable. Fight against logic with magic, swords, and your imagination in Changeling: The Dreaming. Take the world into your faerie hands and start playing with it.
By day they walk among mortals as gods: by night they crawl among the Kindred as fodder and slaves. They are ghouls: suspended between the lure of eternity and the gates of damnation. These blood-addicts haunt the shadow world seperating life and undeath. From the rabid gangbangers of the Brujah to the junkie hustlers of the Setites, discover the schizophrenic world of these wretched hybrids.
The essential companion on the mage's quest. As a sorcerer steps out upon Destiny's Path, he or she requires guidance-lessons learned and questions answered. The Book of Shadows mixes rules and fiction to offer new rotes, Traits and systems alongside history, illumination and a wealth of wisdom for players and Storytellers alike.
Evil personified.. These guys have made a habit of making nightmares come true. I really found this book disturbing but also enlightening. You want evil then read this book. Not only is the secrets of this Family revealed but what it has planed for all of Humanity as well. How often can you use another race of super naturals to do your bidding but you can use the full force of Vampires as well. A great read in very informative. All you ever wanted to know and more....
They're called thieves, liars, nomads, vagabonds. And they're proud of each of those titles. Cb: Ravnos offers insight on the most myterious of the clans for those who can read between the lines. Among the Romany, the idea a tale passes holdes much more importance than its resemblance to truth. Apparently threatened by a turmoil due by the increasing number of gorgio embraced recently, the elders still manage to cloak themselves in shadows and hide their secret agendas. Find the pulling strings. Discover the plans of Ramiq. Illusions and neonates cover secrets and schemes far deadlier...
If you think you understand who the Malkavians are, and what they're here to do. First, beat yourself about the head and shoulders with large metal objects, second, read this book. If the first doesn't leave you dazed and confused, the second most definately will. Beautiful, wonderful, you cannot completely understand this book without, of course, a mirror. You'll understand. The clan symbol for Malkavians best describes all vampire's quest to understand themselves and the plight that has befallen them. Malkavians know more about themselves than any other clan, and in this knowledge, is madness. (Anyone telling you it's the other way around is themselves, quite mad.) If you want to know a little more about the one clan you can never know it all about, feel free to entertain yourself for a good couple hours with this book. Entertaining and more fun than a sack of raw potatoes, the mention of Malk Content is quite well-placed. You might remember him from Aristotle's rantings in "The Book of Nod" also out by White Wolf. Malkavian clanbook was the first printed, and set the precedent for any and all GOOD clanbooks to follow. A good read for storytellers too, who want to add a humorous sidekick to an otherwise serious game to accent the morbid reality of it all.

The Deluxe Transitive Vampire : The Ultimate
Handbook of Grammar for the Innocent, the Eager, and
the Doomed
Karen Elizabeth Gordon is no ordinary grammarian, and her works (including The New Well-Tempered Sentence, Torn Wings and Faux Pas, and The Disheveled Dictionary)--are no ordinary books of grammar. A special edition of the 1984 classic, The Deluxe Transitive Vampire is populated by a wickedly decadent cast of gargoyles, mastodons, murderous debutantes, and, yes, vampires (both transitive and otherwise), who cavort and consort in order to illustrate basic principles of grammar. The sentences are intoxicating--"How he loved to dangle his participles, brush his forelock off his forehead with his foreleg, and gaze into the aqueous depths"--but the rules and their explanations are as sound as any you might find in Strunk and White. Outlining the building blocks of the English language, from parts of speech to phrases and clauses, The Deluxe Transitive Vampire goes on to exorcise such grammatical demons as passive voice, fragments, comma splices, and run-on sentences. At last, a handbook of grammar you will actually want to read. In the words of Gordon's preface, "Howling, exploding, crackling, flickering with new life-forms, and drunk on fresh blood (some of mine is certainly missing), this deluxe edition reminds us on every page that words, too, have hoofs and wings to transport us far and deep."
