From the Navy, we took the Anchor....
From the Army, we took the Rope....
And, on the seventh day, when God rested,
We took the World.
Forgive divine;
Neither of which is
Marine Corps policy.
We were born in a bombs crater. Our mother was an M-16, our father the Devil. Each moment we live is an additional threat upon your life.
We are a roguish rover, soldiers of the sea. We are cocky, self-centered, and overbearing. We do not know the meaning of fear, for we are fear itself. We are green amphibious monsters made of blood and guts, who rose from the depths of the sea.
Our sole purpose in life is to perpetuate death and destruction upon the festering of anti-Americans throughout the globe...whenever the need may arise.
When our time comes, we'll die glorious deaths on the field of battle, giving our lives to mom, apple pie, and Old Glory herself....
We stole the eagle from the Air Force, the anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army.
And behold, on the seventh day, when God rested, we overran His perimeter and took the world...and we've been running the show ever since.
We live like soldiers, talk like sailors, and soar like airmen; and knock Hell out of them all.
Killers by day, lovers by night, drunkards by choice....
Marines by God.
