LOVE ME NOW
If you are ever going to love
me,
Love me now, while I can know
The sweet and tender feelings
That from true affection flow.
Love me now
While I am living.
Do not wait until I'm gone
And then have it chiseled in
marble,
Sweet words on ice-cold stone.
If you have tender thought os
me,
Please tell me now.
If you wait until I am
sleeping,
Never to awaken,
There will be death between
us,
And I won't hear you then.
So if you love me, even a little
bit,
Le me know while I am living,
So I can treasure it.

FRIENDSHIP
Friendship is a strange thing.
We find ourselves telling each other the deeper details of our lives...things
we don't even share with the families who raised us. But what is
a friend? A condifant? A shoulder to cry on? An ear to
listen? A heart to feel? A friend is all these...and more.
No matter where we met, no matter how long we've been together...I call
you friend. A word so small, yet so large in feeling, a word filled
with emotion, a word overflowing with love. Truly great things come
in small packages. Once the package of friendship has been opened,
it can never be closed. It is a constant book always waiting...waiting
to be read...and enjoyed. We may have our disagreements...we may
have our disappointments...we may argue...we may concern one another...friendship
is a unique bond that lasts through all tribulations. A part of each
of us goes into our friendships...our humor...our experiences...our tears.
Friendships are foundations...necessary for life...and love. Friends...you
and me...you brought another friend and then we were three...we started
our group...our circle of friends...there is no beginning...there is no
end.

For your care, for your advice.

A FRIEND THAT'S ALWAYS THERE
If I could catch a rainbow, I
would do it just for you,

It's taken my lifetime,
And I thought I'd never see
the day
When I'd finally have a friend
That just wouldn't go away.
You don't know how much it means

To know you understand.
To never second guess

What can I say to thank you
for the friendship that we share?
What can I do to show you
how much I really care?
You came into my life when I
thought I
wanted no one there
You have stood by my side when

thought that no one cared
You have laughed with me through
the good times
and cried with me through the
bad times
What would I have done if you
had not been there?
I thank you for these things.
I don't really know how to express
my feelings for you
But I do know that if you had
not been in my life
Then it would not be worth living
What can one say to her "Best
Friend"
When she is so much more than
that?
"I love you" seems too simple
to express what I feel
I think it goes deeper than
that
That's how much I care.

PORTRAIT OF A FRIEND
I can't give solutions to all
of life's problems, doubts or fears.
But I can listen to you, and
together we will search for answers
I can't change your past with
all it's heartache, aches & pains
nor the future with it's untold
stories.
But I can be there now when
you need me to care.
I can't keep your feet from
stumbling
I can only offer my hand that
you may grasp it and not fall
Your joys, triumphs, successes,
and happinesses are not mine
yet I can share in your laughter.
Your decisions in life are not
mine to make, nor to judge; I can
only support you, encourage
you, and help you when you ask.
I can't prevent you from falling
away from friendship,
from your values, from me. I
can only pray for you,
talk to you and wait for you.
I can't give you boundaries
which I have determined for you,
but I can give you the room
to change, room to grow,
room to be yourself,
I can't keep your heart from
breaking and hurting,
but I can cry with you and help
you pick up
the pieces and put them back
in place.
I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your
friend.
