Moonbeams danced upon the waters' face,
shimmers of cobalt sparkled the night.
She walked along the sand at a gentle pace,
remembering when their love took plight.
Deeply breathing in the salt-flavored air,
she scanned the shapely dunes that lay ahead.
Memories of entwined bodies, sand-filled hair,
quickened her breathing, her imagination fed.
Down she sat, in the valley of her mind,
lost in deep thought of stolen summer days.
So long ago now, years she'd left behind,
seemingly closer now, in her lovesick haze.
Watching the sand sift thru her fingertips,
the boardwalk's music enhances a remembered kiss
The sweet taste of plum-colored, sensuous lips
haunt her now, in her lanquid abyss.
Lying back on the sand, with gloom-laden eyes,
she mourns her lost love, as her soul slowly dies...

A quarter drops into the slot,
lithe fingers trace the buttons slowly, looking...
searching...
Green eyes look up, glancing around the room,
finger poised over the sought-after selection...
a warm sigh escapes,
as the button is pushed and soft music
fills the room.
She soon forgets all the eyes
in the bar that watch her that night,
for the pair of eyes she had sought
were absent....vacant.
"Their song" had always put her in
a trance, and today was no different.
Her hips began to sway to the gentle beat,
eyes close, hands glide down the
sides of her hips.
Remembering the firm hands of her lover,
she gripped the edges of her skirt,
continuing to let the song
seduce her,
and the crowd...
Breathing heavier now, her words
mixed with the chorus'
as if singing to her lover,
serenading,
begging almost.
In her mind, her lover is there...
swaying with her,
moving against her length,
matching her perspiration,
sliding against her,
loving her.
Moonlight rained in from the east,
giving her floating figure
an ethereal affect...
gasps could be heard
throughout the crowd,
but no words...
As suddenly as this
enticement began,
the music slowed to a stop.
Her eyes were trying to focus,
(her face freshly wet)
when again, a quarter rolled in
and the song filled the air...
Before she could turn around,
a hand lightly touched
the small of her back,
firm, yet caressing.
Once again, she was in
the arms of her lover...

In foggy half-dream, I know I'm awake
Not far from deep slumber, my destiny
Panics' head arises as my soul aches
Shivers of fear lay on the cold gurney
The possibility of death so real
I closed my eyes, heading for my journey
From within my haze, I could still
The hand that reached out, filled with compassion
Comforting my heart with strength of steel
Caressing my being in a soft, gentle fashion
Sweet memory of which I would later partake
Soothed my shivers of fear, face so ashen
Thank you, kind stranger, I now say in my wake
Such a wonderful nurse, your heart does make

The 'other side' calls out my name
Rapturous joy fills my whole being
Knowing deep inside this is no game
The 'other side' calls out my name
I am different, yet still the same
Reaching through, to my souls' freeing
The 'other side' calls out my name
Rapturous joy fills my whole being

When your faults are open to see
And you're still loved, regardlessly
Take heart that you are so blessed
You know you love the very best
Eyes that turn blind on seeing your worst
Not later, but from the very first
Are golden treasures, I do attest
You know you love the very best
When you're loved for who you really are
Not from a dream, wished on a star
You know it's truth, not lies oppressed
You know you love the very best
This kind of love passes all tests
You know you love the very best

She heard you loud and clear,
the penatrating echo
of your dismay
with
her,
it rang strongly within the room,
carrying with it
baggage from
long
ago.
Your liqueured tongue
an abomination
of your life
and
hers.
After all these years,
she now truly knows
what you think
of
her,
no need to wonder anymore,
your words were heard
and she'll never
forget
them.
The knife you wielded
found it's mark,
whether you
meant it to,
or
not.
And since you'll never
apologize or try to amend,
the cut deepens into
her
heart.
It slowly bleeds her
and always will
'til after your death,
and
longer.
Things could have been
so different, with you...
her abomination,
her
father...

A great deal on my mind, so much to do
Running in wide circles, day after day
Will sanity survive when all is through?
Frustrations mount, as my list I review
None yet settled, everything in array
A great deal on my mind, so much to do
Each day forth seems to bring something new
Problems and decisons turn my hair gray
Will sanity survive when all is through?
Plans from long ago, unravel and unglue
Many ideas have sometimes gone astray
A great deal on my mind, so much to do
Ultimate choices hard to misconstrue
Rising tempers barely held at bay
Will sanity survive when all is through?
Finding my way, from deep within this zoo
Hoping that tomorrow betters today
A great deal on my mind, so much to do
Will sanity survive when all is through?

She can't hear the tender words
for the sound of her own screams
What makes her how she is
What takes her to extremes
What caused the pain inside
That never completely goes away
Is there even someone to blame
When her world dulls to gray
Deep in her soul, somewhere there
Is a place that knows why
A little corner way down deep
Where her heart can openly cry
Was there one small moment long ago
That built this eerie bridge to her soul

In her eyes, I see young innocence peep
And yet, the knowledge of so much more
This childs' sadness is pure and deep
At my heartstrings, her misery tore.
When she's past thirty, well into womanhood
I wonder what will she remember the most
Long silences at home, a solace childhood
Or even thoughts of her fading parents' ghosts
She reminds me of a beautiful, wild rose
Full of quiet intensity, ready to bloom
The older she becomes, the more she knows
Her life is run by people in a parents' costume
How can I help her, I must find some way
To lead her to the light, pulled out of gray

Lover's hearts devinely shared
Beguiling tenderness declared
Soft, candy-apple red lips
Craving your bodys' total eclipse
Molding as one, excited delight
In secrecy, our lovers' plight
Together we find our depths anew
And remember from wence our love grew
When our passion has released it's hold
I'll paint with satin-fine liquid gold
The contours of your tranquil face
Upon my canvas, your rapture will grace
Forever to gaze upon the beauty of you
Enslaved I'll be, with that breathless view

The she-devil waves her firey hand
and puts on a friendly disguise.
Thinking that no one would find her out
mistakenly sure none would be wise.
Brazenly, she taunts for all to see
those that she thinks so little of.
But, her heart remains empty, cold and black
she just doesn't know how to love.
The she-devil watches with blazing eyes
the goodness that others exude.
She subconsciously envies those warm hearts
Her words are always mean and rude.
When she opens her mouth, the lies pour out
for the she-devil likes to pretend.
The extent of her evil is vast and real
she lies upon lies with no end.
If the she-devil opens her door to you
Be weary of her smile and false charm.
For evil lies lurking in her hungry, dark soul
You'll be right in the midst of her harm.

Precious angel, spread your wings
Lift your voice as it sweetly sings
Happiness, your ultimate goal
Strength lies deep within your soul
Zest for life, and all good things
To you, I'm sure this world brings
Peace of mind, worth it's weight in gold
Frees your spirit, with beauty untold
An angel, like you, may pull some strings
Guiding you gently as your heart rings
From within your halo'd world so cold
Widen the boundaries of your lifes' threshold

When dreams fade, from sight and mind
Harsh whispers should come to those so blind
Explosive abandoning of the spirits' will
Nakedly rocking in the strong wind's chill
Dreams can be lost when eyes are closed
Reflections in the mirror can be exposed
Eight million others can find the dream
As one crumbles slowly, within a scream
Mastered words revolt and turn to sin
Shrieks may rise forth and rebel again
Finding a dream can lead to dispair
Anquish abodes the hearts that dare
Drowning silently, in a dark gloomy state
Eclipsed within the hands of fate

Timeless moments in endless thought
Heaven-sent dreams deep into the night
Erogenous sensations, no longer fought
Memories being made, day after day
Awash with softness as hearts conspire
Growling hunger for one's loved prey
Imaginations lit, always afire
Carnal desires, a fragrant bouquet
Offering ourselves, with no demands
Firey passions, seductive plans
Luscious cravings, sweetest pain
Unleashed ardor always remains
Savoring each morsel, craving more
Teasing, taunting paramour

Her wet eyes shown brightly in the starless night
Hair whipped 'round her face in the soft moonlight
In her palm, she held tight a locket of gold
Inside, a picture of the love she would never hold
The wind crashed the sea against the shore that night
The town of Beacon shimmering, almost out of sight
Deserted now, the beach was dark, lonely and cold
This sad night, it seemed, would swallow her whole
She felt numb inside, trying to do what's right
Her heart and head each putting up a strong fight
One was quite soft and tender, the other often bold
Somehow she must combine them, and make them mold
As the sun began to rise, casting the early morn' light
She still clutched the locket, with all of her might

...the thunderstorm outside sternly awakened
her restless sleep, crashing loudly outside.
She jerked up, and headed
to close the open window.
She almost had the window closed
when she saw them.
Her hand wiped the glass
to enable herself to see better,
as she silently watched the
scene taking place from
from her viewpoint advantage
in her room at the
Metropole Hotel...
The woman was standing beneath the
shadow of the lighthouse,
the harvest moon cascading
sheets of light around her aura,
pieces of cloth clinging to her
succulent flesh.
He reached out to her
from behind,
his hand slowly
moving aside her
flowing auburn hair,
moving closer still,
leaning down to kiss
her back as her head
fell back...
Moving out to the balcony now,
the storm quite forgotten,
she continued to watch,
her heartbeat quickening
with each breath she took,
entranced...
He took her hand
and turned her around,
pulling her closely,
almost swaying in song
to the rise of their
enduced passions' flight,
non-words swirling
around them,
then he leaned down
and tasted her lips,
savoring her with his
own,
hands moving up slowly,
to cup her face...
just as the lighthouse's
shadow covered them
completely,
lost now in it's darkness.
Her hands grasped the balcony's
rail, as she suddenly realized
she had now lost sight of them.
A forlorn sigh escaped her lips,
as her shoulders fell in defeat.
As she returned to her warm bed,
she wondered if she had
only imagined it.
And if not - would she
see them again?

Sunday goodbyes, with a small weak smile
knowing once again he'll be gone awhile.
...such is the life
of a trucker's wife.
Hoping and praying that he's kept safe from harm
Wishing he could carry a real good-luck-charm
...such is the strife
of a trucker's wife.
Battling crisises alone, time after time
Trying to be cheerful, instead of whine
...such is the strife
of a trucker's wife.
Phone calls, there are never enough of
Wondering if he, too, misses his love
...such is the life
of a trucker's wife.
A queen-sized bed, oft empty and unused
'cept for writing thoughts, when she is mused
...such is the life
of a trucker's wife.
Going to sleep, lying alone in the middle
Feeling like a baby, lost in a cradle
...such is the life
of a trucker's wife.
Waiting up on Fridays 'til past midnight
Keeping the homefires burning, long and bright
...such is the life
of a trucker's wife.
Awaiting the day when he'll be home more
Always looking toward the front door,
...such is the life
of a trucker's wife.

I have tried with all my might
to do the things I do, right.
I used to think that you
and I were close enough
that you could talk to me,
about all kinds of 'stuff'.
Realization has now dawned
in this stubborn head of mine
that you and I are far apart
in our 'day and time'.
I still say I've been there.
Don't you see how much I care?
I fear the worst is not o'er yet
And just pray there's naught I'll regret...

Winter looms so near
As birds disappear
Grass dies
Dead until next year
When Spring reappears
Cold skies
Winter commandeers
Brittle ice lends fear
Low highs
Wishing for snow here
Soft flakes would bring
cheer
and sighs
Romantics revere
'Ole cynics just leer

It's the silence that is deafening,
in the still of the night when all the crickets
have finished having their lonesome say,
No word or touch comes in any form,
festering the mind, bruising the heart.
How little it would take, with moments to spare
to fill the emptiness the silent night brings.
The clock ticks on, never loosing momentum.
Days run together, as the silence endures,
no word or touch comes in any form.
The endearing night becomes the enemy,
gnawing away each day until all seem the same.
Warm autumn sunshine tries it's best to hide
the deafening silence each new day brings.

Opening the mailbox
without much enthusiasm today,
my eyes immediately
found the letter,
in a plain white envelope,
yet...
it was extraordinary.
It was from my best friend
in high school.
As I read her letter,
of hope and dreams
still evolving,
memories of yesterday
flashed through
my mind of when we
were so young
and carefree,
with bigger dreams
(maybe unrealistic ones?)
and an unquinchable
appetite for fun
and adventure.
And love.
Tears welled up
as I saw her mark
upon the pages,
and read of her
life in this
big world we share.
We have shared so much
together over the years.
She will always be
a part of me,
with memories I would
never change any part of.
Some of the happiest and
funnest times of my life
have been with her.
We know each other so well,
her and I.
Even after all these years.
When we talk,
even if it has been months
or years,
it is as if it were just
yesterday.
Forever, my memories
of her and our shared
times will always
be special to me.
I've said to others before that
our experiences in life
(good and bad)
make us who we are today.
I truly believe that...
