This is how it all happened. In November all DD (Devon Direct) employees found out when the Holiday party was going to be. The holiday party was on Saturday, December 13th, the same time Rick and his family were going deer hunting up around Penn State. Jenni decided she wasn't going to be a loser and not go just because her husband couldn't, so she asked one of the summer interns, Sandy Davis, to go with her. At the party, we found out that the trip this year was to Disneyworld. Drinks, socializing, and dinner were great! As the fun was getting underway, the president of the company, Ron Greene, said it was time to pick the lucky winner. And well, it was me! Number 109! Boy, was I excited!!! I have never been to Disney world before and the funniest thing was that Rick wasn't there to share in the excitement! Ha ha ha! I told everybody that I was going to take Sandy instead of Rick, but I was just joking, plus Sandy would be back at Vanderbilt studying her little heart out. So, anyway, I had no way to get a hold of Rick up in the mountains until he actually came home on Wednesday, December 17th. What a surprise it was for him! He couldn't believe it! Now, as long as he gets off of work, we'll be going February 13 - 16th.
