This whole page is about me. Well- to start I'll tell about my life.
I am a senior in high school (as I said on my homepage). My time seems to be consumed by work, school, and swimming. I am a lifeguard. There isn't anything I'd rather do. I love working as a lifeguard and teaching swim lessons. The cutest thing ever happened last year when I was teaching swim lessons. A little boy (I'll keep his name off here) made me a thank you card. The letters were backwards and it was just so cute!
Anyways.
As for school, I'm 5th in my class (right now at least). I'm taking some AP classes this year to prepare myself for college. Band is part of school and during the fall that is all I seem to do. March around the school parking lot and learn half time shows. Oh- it might help you to know this! I don't really like band all that well. It is a good activity, but it just isn't for me. But, I am in it so I do the best I can. Right now I'm second chair.
Ah- now for swimming. I have a love-hate relationship with swimming. I hate it when I am doing it and when i can't do it I miss it. I swim the 50, 100, 200, and 500 freestyle and I'm in all the relays (200Medley, 200Free, and 400Free). Now that needs an explanation. I used to swim the 100 butterfly too. But, I hurt my shoulder and my scapula so I can't swim it anymore. I miss it so much and I just want to kick people when they say they hate fly practices. Along with the sholder injury came less endurance. I couldn't handle the 500 or 200 anymore so my coach moved me into the 50 and the 100. This past summer I swam on a summer swim team in a county near ours. My shoulder seems to be getting a little better and I started swimming more yards than last year. I had decent times and places in that. Who knows what this next season has in place for me. Hopefully it will be successful.
The past two summer I have went away to colleges for programs. I had a ton of fun and I met a lot of new people. My Christmas card list has been quadrupled to say the least!
I really like to write poetry (that's why I have a poetry page). I think that I like writing in general. I'm working on a book right now. Hopefully I'll publish it someday.
As for colleges, I have narrowed it down, but the list is still a little too large. Right now Northwestern University and Ohio State University are pretty high on my list.
Well- I think that is enough for now.
