Thought For The Day

(And An Explanation For The Thought)

4/5/99: Who invented the saying "Is the glass half empty or half full"? More importantly, who is the moron that said this dumb saying has everything to do with whether we are a pessimist or an optimist? He should be shot. Seriously. Some of the sayings that were 'invented' are so retarded. I swear. I think I'm an optimist most of the time. But that's just because I only say 1/10 of the things that I think.:-) Besides- when I see a glass that has water in it- I don't see it as half full or half empty. I see it as a glass with water in it.

4/6/99: Why do people say "It's colder than heck (you know what I'm substituting in for) out here"? It isn't cold down there so OBVIOUSLY it is colder than it.

4/7/99: Why are lava lamps called lava lamps? I've never seen blue or green lava before.

4/8/99: Who invented those stupid Furby things? Honestly, why would someone pay money to buy an annoying toy that you have to learn it's foreign language to understand it?

4/9/99: If someone is paid by commission and I take the thing I bought back AFTER they get their paycheck, does it get deducted from their next paycheck?

4/10/99: Why aren't birthdays considered holidays?

4/11/99: Why do skinny people think that they are fat and fat people think that they are skinny? (Which brings on the next question)

4/12/99: Why is it that people who are the right size to wear bikinis wear one piece suits and people who shouldn't wear bikinis, wear bikinis?

4/13/99: Why are boys so freaked out about speedos? Aren't they just like underwear?

4/14/99: Why do people buy others presents only after that person buys them a gift?

4/15/99: Why do guidance counselors and principals spend all of their time with people who are going to drop out of school?

4/16/99: Why do cops like donuts?

4/17/99: Why are boys so mesmerized by Victoria's Secret? Grow up!

4/18/99: Why aren't there any major holidays is August? Every month has one except August. January has New Years. February has Valentine's Day. March has St. Patrick's Day. April (this month) has April Fool's Day and Easter. May has Mother's Day and Memorial Day. June has Father's Day. July has the Fourth of July. August- ZIPPO, ZILCH, NADA. September has Labor Day. October has Halloween. November has Thanksgiving. And December has Christmas. I think August got the shaft.

4/19/99: How do you get a holiday named after you? That would kinda cool. Everyone in your town would celebrate YOUR day. I'd make my day a cross between Christmas, Halloween, and Easter. It would be great. It would be like a second birthday every year.

That's all for now.
