HI!!! Welcome to this page. This is a (happy) page. (boys) or (girls) can come here to just have fun reading about absolutely nothing! First, I'll start by saying a few creative ways to say happy birthday to one of your friends WITHOUT spending a lot of moolah!
1st way: Take a cute picture of you and your friend and make a frame for it out of popsicle sticks. Then decorate it any way you want to! You can use that card confetti or puffy paints or any way that comes to your mind!
2nd way: Take a whole gob of pictures of you friend and you and make a collage out of them. All you need is tape or glue, scissors (you don't HAVE to cut the pictures, you can just overlap them) and posterboard or a thing of choice. You can put the pictures on anything. I put a collage of postcards on my dresser of all the places I've been to or my friends have been. It adds pizazz to the room.
3rd way: Write your friend a poem that describes how much you care. It may sound corny, but it is a good idea. Everyone likes to know that they have someone that cares for them!
4th way: Call into a radio station and dedicate a song for your friend. Tell the DJ to say happy birthday to your friend on the air. Just in case you think that you friend might not hear it, tape it!
5th way: Make a tape of all of your friends favorite songs for their car.
6th way: Make a scrapbook for them. Say that they are in band. Take gobs of band pictures and articles and put them into a photo album.
7th way: Make your friend a cookbook. Say they're a vegetarian. Make it a vegetarian cookbook. Doing this will help you in the future for other gift giving holidays. On Christmas, you can make the Christmas edition of it. Use it all year. Easter, Birthday, Christmas, New Years, and any other holidays!
8th way: Make cookies. I don't know anyone who doesn't like food.
9th way: Throw them a surprise party. To keep it low cost, have guests bring something. Tell one person to bring soda and another to bring chips and so on.
10th way: Make an "On Your Birthday Book". Find all sorts of things that happened on their birthday and put them in there!
Now I am going to talk about snow. You know what I think is funny? I think it is absolutely hilarious that people from places where it DOESN'T snow LIKE snow. I hate it. I hate precipitation. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, slush, I hate it all. Living in Indiana though, makes it hard to not be around it. It rains ever 3 days for 3 days in the summer and this winter we've had so many inches of snow. I think that we've had more inches of snow this whole year than in the past 10 years. Seriously. We've missed over two weeks of snow because of it. Now don't get me wrong, Snow Days are great every once in a while. But when you miss two weeks consecutively! Everyone was snowed in so we couldn't go anywhere. It was rather boring! We just had another snow day this week. This one didn't bother me too bad because I needed a break. The difference was that this one happened during a school week and the two weeks off was directly following Christmas Break. We ended up getting a whole month off school. But thanks to our legislature, we only have to go 1 day for every 3 we missed. Ha! Missing all that school and we only have to go in the first week of June! Talk about luck! :-)
Now we are going to talk about phobias. Now if you are thinking "This weirdo thinks I have a phobia. She must be nuts" you have a phobia of the truth :-) Seriously. Everyone has at lease one phobia. Even Hercules was afraid of SOMETHING. I think that there might be 10 people out there who don't have any because I think that I have some of theirs. No joke. I have more than the one that most people have and mine are stupid little things. I am scared of spiders, snakes, bugs that sting and dogs that aren't on leashes outside. I am horribly afraid of dying. I have dreams about drowning all the time. The whole swim team makes fun of me because of that one. I'm a lifeguard too, so drowning would be an odd thing to happen to me. Want to hear the weirdest of them all? I'm can't go to the bathroom by myself. I can GO myself, but I can't get to the room by myself. I have to have someone come with me. Honest. At lunch everyday, I make someone come with me. And if no one will, I wait until someone will. My friends all laugh at me for that one. They always ask me if I would rather pee my pants than go there by myself. I'm not sure. I've never had that happen! I don't like it when people mess with any of my things. This boy who sits in front of me in Chemistry always puts his hands on my desk and it drives me NUTS. Then, because he knows it bothers me, he licks his hand and wipes it on my desk. Oh it bothers me. But I'm not obsessive compulsive like my friend. She is freaky sometimes. She opens doors with paper towels so her hands don't get dirty and every time she touches something she has to wash her hands. You know who you are :-) I have more weird fears, but that is enough for now. :-)
Do you hate long movies? My friend and I just watched on today. It was so drawn out that we lost the plot! Every time we thought it was about to end it would go on and on. It ended up being two and a half hours. Good lord. It could've been an hour and a half and it would've been good. One thing that my friend and I do is when we see a bad movie, we tell someone (usually one of our objects of affection) about how GREAT it was and recommend it to them. It is really funny. They usually go out and rent it. Scary thing is- they usually REALLY like it.
