Janet Damita Jo Jackson

Janet Damita Jo Jackson, is the youngest of nine sisters and brothers. They are Rebe, LaToya, Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon, Michael, and Randy. She was born May 16, 1966 in Gary, Indiana, but now resides in a Westside home purchased for about $6.5 million. Built in the 1930's, the five bedroom, 9,000-square-foot house was recently been refurbished. It sits on an acre behind gates and has, among other wonderful features, a tennis court. The property also has spectacular city views.) Several years ago she purchased a home in Malibu, California with her then long-time friend/beau Rene Elizondo, and their four dogs Buckwheat (Chow), Puffy (breed ?), Dylan (Boxer), and Riley (Rott). Please note that Janet and Rene are no longer a couple. JDJ Entertainment confirmed the following statement to be true. "LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Janet Jackson's musical question, "What have you done for me lately?" may have finally hit home: She and her longtime romantic interest have split up. The 32-year-old singer and Rene Elizondo Jr. have separated, according to a statement released Friday by the pop diva's management, Lindsay Scott Management. The couple, who had a "personal relationship" for 13 years, planned to continue their friendship, the statement said. Ms. Jackson, the youngest daughter of the celebrated musical family, was married to singer James DeBarge for about a year when she was in her late teens. Shortly after her divorce, she and Elizondo began dating."

Janet has been performing for many years. I can remember seeing her perform as Cher of Sonny and Cher (Randy was Sonny) and Mae West in 1971 at a Jackson 5 concert. I was only about 8 years old, but I remember thinking it was the coolest thing I had seen! Janet has achieved so much since then and I have tried to list those accomplishments below. Rene has visited several times and e-mailed me the correct information pertaining to their dogs. Thanks RJ! I'd also like to say that I've heard some really horrible rumors about Rene'(especially since their breakup). I'd like to set the record STRAIGHT! He is one of the kindest, generous people I know. He has done so much for the fans of Janet and has his own TRUE "friends/fans". He's just a behind-the-scenes kind of person.
