The opening acts for Metallica on the upcoming North American tour will be:
Jerry Cantrell and Days Of The New.
Jerry Cantrell is well
known as the guitar player from Alice In Chains, with whom his work
appears on 4 full length
albums and several EP's. His first solo album, Boggy Depot goes
on sale April 7th. For

first single from Boggy
Depot, Cut You In, is already receiving exptensive airplay on hard
rock radio. Jerrry's
live band will include drummer Sean Kinney, also of Alice In Chains.
Day of the New's self-titled,
first album was released is 1997 and produced such songs as
MTV and hard rock radio
regular Touch, Peel and Stand. The four piece, mostly acoustic
band is from Louisville,
Kentucky and is made up of: Travis Meeks on vocals and guitar,
Todd Whitener on guitar,
bass player Jesse Vest and drummer Matt Taul. For more on

KIRK MARRIAGED (10
Feb)
Lani and Kirk got married Jan. 31st
at 2:00 pm at Kailua, Hawaii, in front ofthe two
families. They were both barefoot...and
married Hawaiian style with a Kahu ( Reverend)

2 NEW SINGLES TO BE
RELEASED (16 Jan)
Metallica will be releasing 2 singles,
in the US "Unforgiven ll" will be there next single
and in Europe "Fuel" will be there
next single. This is not the first time Metallica release
two different singles. When One
came out in the States, "Harvester of sorrow" was
choosen in Europe.

METALLICA'S LAST LONG
TOUR?
Metallica don't like long world-tours
on this moment. The band Metallica will
start a great long world tour. For
the last time ? It could be. The band said that
they don't like the rhythm of touring,
sitting in hotelrooms and Playing
concerts. The drummer of the band,
Lars Ulrich, said: "Properly, two hours Of
the day are great. These are the
hours when we are playing a concert. Further,
Nothing happens". Ulrich can't say
that the new tour will be the last one
suchlike a Great size. "We go on
with touring but not so long over the whole
world" ,said Lars Ulrich.

GREATEST VIDEOS
Those of you who live in the US
and have MTV probably already know this . . .
MTV is having a top ten vidoes of
all times thingy, and ONE was #10 in the all
time greatest video of all time,
and ENTER SANDMAN was #9 in the top ten
rock videos of all time. On a related
note, MTV showed a snipit of THE MEMORY
REMAINS video, and they are in a
room that rotates around them, pretty cool.

METALLICA will play a free show at
London's premier dance venue Ministry Of
Sound on November 13 to launch their
new album 'Re-Load'. Asked about the
gig, Lars Ulrich said: "I've never
heard of the Ministry Of Sound but I'm sure
Metallica playing there will making
it a hit!" Tickets will be available from 10pm
on Saturday, November 1 from Glasgow
