Their live shows are always spectacular, but this one's really smokin' - literally! Early on in the tour Brian had a close escape when his shirt nearly went up in flames, after a spark from the amazing fireworks which start the show landed on him! Meanwhile, the baby trainer which AJ has swinging from his backpack also caught fire during one of the rehearsals! The Boys have been banned from staying in three hotels in Europe! So have they been acting all rock-starry? No, it's because of the over-excited fans rampaging through the corridors in search of their beloved heroes. And while we're on the subject of hotels, while the Boys were touring Canada a security guard was convinced a fan was trying to break into AJ's room. The burly bouncer leapt out of bed and ran to the defenceless AJ's aid, only to find a long-haired member of the band's crew taking a stroll in the corridor because he couldn't sleep!
For their next album, the Backstreet Boys are looking to collaborate with 'cooler' stars. They're hoping to work with funky Swedish dive, Robyn (who may pop up as a guest on their tour), and sexy soul sensation, Usher!! Despite his fear of flying, Nick thought it'd be a good idea for him to soar through the air on stage during a tour. His Peter Pan days are yet to come, though, because this time round it proved to be just too tricky. But maybe on another tour things will really take off The last time the Boys toured Canada their bus seized up in the Rocky Mountains, so this year they made sure the bus was equipped with emergency blankets and food plus torches and shovels!
