for those of you who are veg-heads, let me just say this...
sometimes it's SO hard to find veggie food that
it's almost not worth goin' out to eat...
ok...that said, let me also say this...
there ARE places in D/FW to get not only
decent veggie dishes but also extremely GOOD veggie dishes :)...
they're just harder to find than you might think...
below are some of my favorite places to grab
(let me finish, please)
to grab some good grub with ingredients from the garden,
but taste straight from heaven...



Spinach Quesadillas - Judge Bean's
Old Denton Road & Trinity Mills Road
Carrollton, Texas

*absolutely, without a doubt,
the BEST quesadillas in my life*
*a good hint ? get ranch dressin'for the dippin' sauce*

UPDATE: Judge Bean's has closed for unknown (to me) reasons. 'Tis a sad day for me, I can assure you. /mourn

fyi - they don't take "unicard",
so have your driver's license ready...

fyi - this is the ONLY restaurant in
Carrollton that allows smokin' inside...



Cheese Enchiladas - Uncle Julio's
Greenville Avenue, north of Walnut Hill
Dallas, Texas

very good enchiladas, queso only, o'course :)...
the veggie quesadillas are quite good
here, also...

fyi - they do serve liquor, and
the bartender is *quite* generous...

fyi - there are dead animals hangin' on
the walls and shelves...be warned...



Veggie Quesadillas - Applebee's
Plano Parkway & 75 North
Plano, Texas

decent fare, although i dont care for artichokes...

fyi - be prepared to wait a bit, as this restaurant is
quite busy durin' peak times...

also, the Awesome Blossom
is exactly as it's name signifies...



Fettucine Alfredo - The Olive Garden
I35 North in Lewisville, Texas
Midway Rd & Beltline Rd

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

The Olive Garden (aka The Olive Pit)
the Kudos Award for awesome food...

i've never been here that the
food wasn't terrific, that the service was
less than perfect, that the prices
were not reasonable...



Veggie Sub - Subway Sandwiches
numerous locations throughout
the metroplex and surroundin' cities...

gives you a choce of white or wheat bread,
as well as a wide range of veggies
to choose from...

Veggie Plate - Black Eyed Pea
Forest Lane & Coit Road, Dallas
75 North, McKinney, Texas

gives you a choice of 4 or 5 veggies and bread...
a friend says the beans, rice, & cornbread are
great...

How to judge what the flies mean ????

	not EVEN if i were starvin' would i go here...mickeyd's falls here...
	would stop here if they were open & nothin'else was...maybe...
	not too shabby, is always an option...fair to middlin'...
	pretty good, i go here often...is recommended for great food, good times...
	awesome, out of this world, you HAVE to go here :)...

WoRDS oF WaRNiNG !!!

i have spent the last 2 weeks (07/26/98 thru 08/05/98) playin' around in south texas...and eatin' out a lot as a result of not bein' home :(...
HERE are some places NOT to eat Fettucini Alfredo...no particular order, other than alphabetical...

Chili's	it didn't even *smell* good, and i've no idea what the cheese on top was
Joe's CrabShack	the blackened chicken smelled fanTAStic, but the F. Alfredo was bland
Spaghetti Warehouse	nice place, great service, but the F. Alfredo wasn't worth the drive nor the price
Steak And Ale	great atmosphere, WAAAAAY too expensive and the taste wasn't worth it
