V'thtashi Harun de' - Written Information
Age: 30
Gender: Female
Birth date: 24 June
Residence: Vol'Indi
Appearance: Typical Humanoid. Indistinguishable from human. Red hair, blue eyes, stands approximately 5'8" (although she is considered short by Volkune standards). Former Slender figure somewhat baby-stretched, but slowly returning to normal.
Personality: Relaxed and comfortable in most situations. Makes strong use of her empathic and communications skills to understand others and to make them comfortable. Friendly to the point of self-sacrifice. Would do anything to help another. As a result of the loss of Rron PrimaVol last year, and her recently giving birth to twins, she is becoming more mature and self-reliant. Would very much like to rekindle the romance with her childhood sweetheart, but affairs of state prevent her actually doing this. Also, has relaxed her physical control over Pax Station, but trusts in her Senior Officers to carry out as if she had organized matters herself.
Family:
Tashi - mother,
belongs to the Religious Order of Telashi, an order which focuses
on the Spiritual side of Telepathy. She is a strong P10, and
leader of the Council of Telashi Temple, former advisor to
PrimaVol family. During the initiation of the Telepathic Union
for the re-training of Volkune Telepaths, she was the head of the
underground movement to transfer some of the more powerful and
skilled telepaths to Pax Station, where they now reside in the
former Shag Toth base. After the "Ethnic Cleansing" of
the Telepathic Union, she was focred to flee to Pax, where she
arrived in time for the birth of her Twin Grandchildren.
Commander Trisk - father, is a former Commander
with the Volkune Military Corps, now taken over by Volkune
Democratic Society. He travelled much and sometimes took
V'thtashi with him, he also taught V'thtashi about discipline and
order. He is also responsible for her limited combat training.
After the takeover of the Volkune Democratic Society, he hid
within the Telashi Temple Complex to serve as security advisor.
When the Temple was raided, he evacuated the last of the Temple
Elders to Pax. While doing so, he fell under fire from the
invading forces and has not been seen since. He is now presumed
dead.
Robund - brother,
younger, is also formerly with the Military Corps. Has telepathic
skills inherited from Tashi. He is the first male in the family
to show signs of telepathic ability for many generations. This
used to cause tension between the family members, until he was
recruited by the Rangers.
Robund shares a telepathic link with V'thtashi. This was temporarily disabled by the Entity, but has since been restored. No other immediate family. Took refuge on Minbar to train with the Rangers for use in the new political arena forming around Vol'Indi's recent political changes. Was transferred to the Dawnstar under the command of Shai Alyt Tirest.
Family is not the most distinguished on Vol'Indi. However, Trisk's former role in Space Command places the family under suspicion from the Insurrectionists. Tashis serving as High Consul of Telashi Temple (Advisor to the royal family) had placed her in a unique position to safeguard many of the older traditions of Vol'Indi, which she helped to transfer to Pax for safekeeping. T'Mar Hazan ka' was her most prized pupil, and it is assumed that he will be nominated her successor in time.
Interests/Hobbies:
Cultural Study, Communication, Religious Artifacts. Is
intrigued by the Human games of skill called Darts and Pool.
Enjoys parties and dancing, and finds quiet solitude in the
gardens of Pax, although has not had much time or opportunity of
late.
Previous History:
She has a heard of the advanced teachings of the Minbari and
should like to study on Minbar at some point. She has already had
many long discussion with her Minbari friend, Tzipora. She
attained good marks in her studies at the temple under her
mother's direction. At the encouragement of her father, she
worked in civilian communications firms before the expedition of
space travel. He also helped her to arrange for a civilian
posting to the Space Corps.
She was trained by her father in combat training, mostly self-defence, which was reinforced by Captain Hikatuishi Creala, Captain in the Volkune Marines elite fighting regiment, Delta3. With her expertise in self-defence being extended, she mostly relies on her empathic abilities to avoid confrontations.
She started her career in the Volkune Space Corps as a Civilian Communications Officer, and was then promoted to XO, second in Command to PrimaVol Rron aboard the newly commissioned LSC Vol. She is now in command of the Diplomatic Station, Pax VII.
She accepted a proposal of marriage from the Volkune leader, much against the objections of both of their closest advisors, which proved to be the catalyst for bringing the Volkune Democratic Society into power. Due to the volatile nature of the situation between Pax and Vol'Indi, the marriage has been postponed so that both parties might give their duties full attention. She has not seen her fiancee since he returned from Minbar with his daughter.
Following accidental exposure to the teeth of an Ewok [Shulamit], Diana was exposed as a cybernetic lifeform attempting to gain access to the royal family in order to destroy Rron PrimaVol. The villian behind this scheme was discovered to be Ert Cyng Bod, nemesis fo Rron. Diana was neutralised and a regency council was established to rule Vol'Indi until the child heir to the throne became of age.
During the period immediately following, the Volkune Democratic Society began to sieze power in all areas. The Military was re-organized and the Telepathic Union was formed, essentially nullifying the temple's role in education and training of psychic abilities. The Monarchists split from the usurped government of Vol'Indi in protest of many of the activities of the organized government. They have been trying to regain power in the sector, but have only managed to dig in and fortify their position on Pax.
With the birth of the Twins, the Male being Elder and therefore Heir, Pax has had to fight against an organized attack by raiders on the system. Losses were high, and Pax Station is desperately trying to regain what little authority it still has in the quadrant.
