.....Come And Meet My Family.....

I have compiled photos which will show my family...
both past and present people. The page may take
ample time to load, but here is where you
will learn of my "family tree."

The first photo is of my maternal grandparents
on their wedding day in 1906.
My grandfather's name was "Peter" and
my grandmother's name was "Magdalena."
They left Poland and traveled via a ship
to the United States, a place where they wanted
to be married and make their dreams come true.
Both had to learn the English language quickly.
As time passed, my grandparents had 10 children...
the 9th of whom was to be my mother, Julia.

The next picture you will view is a picture of my
paternal grandparents. My grandmother was of
Indian heritage, belonging to the Blackfeet Tribe.
My grandfather's name was "Harry" and my
grandmother's name was "Nora." Having had 3 sons,
they were both anxious to "meet" their granddaughter,
the first female in 7 generations in the family.
That granddaughter is the only daughter of their
third son, John, who was my father.

The following pictures are of my parents throughout
the years. The first pics of each of them were
taken when they were in their early 20's...*sigh*...
oh, to be that age again!! *S*

Unfortunately, in 1989 my Mom succumbed to ovarian
cancer and we lost her. The following pictures were
of my maternal grandmother's 100th Birthday Party
and the last Christmas we were able to spend
together with Mom...along with her mother who
was 102 years old at that time.

Another close family member who has remained
close with us throughout the years is my
cousin, Diane. She is a very funloving and wonderful
person to be around at any time. The pictures I
have of her are from Halloween in 1991
and Christmas 1999. Her and
her husband, Joe, owned a pub/restaurant
and she "dressed up" for Halloween. My Dad
was in one of the pictures with her. I also
have a photo of her son, Joey, who
graduated high school in 1999. We are
very close and he often refers to
me as his "Second Mom"...*S*.

Shortly after my Mom passed away, I decided
to take Dad to Walt Disney World as a Father's
Day Gift. We traveled to Florida the last week of
September in 1991 and had a wonderful time there.
Of course he said he would never "forgive me"
for taking him on some of the rides, but he
was still talking to me...*L*. Below are photos
from our visit to Walt Disney World.

A few years after my Mom's death,
my Dad had become very good friends
with a woman named Sheila. My parents
and her and her husband had been actively
involved in local politics in past years and had
become friends. Sheila lost her husband to
illness approximately 2 years after my father
lost Mom to cancer. Dad and Sheila had been
together for 5 years and cared for each other
very much. These are the last photos I have of him
prior to passing away from leukemia.
Below you will see a picture of Dad from 1997
on his birthday and then a picture of him
and Sheila on Christmas Day 1997.
