Let's see....My Mom decided to adopt me from a local vet in October of 1999. I was just sittin' around in this large pet cage with two other kittens (and they weren't nearly as cute as me!! *W*). She saw how timid I was...let me tell you, being in a cage with 2 gray female kittens makes the only male kitten definitely keep to himself!! *Kitty laugh* Mom was debating whether or not to do the "pet thing", but I just snuggled into her arms and she couldn't put me back into the cage!! Yipppeeee!!! I was on my way home with her!! *Cheshire Grin*
Her home was much bigger than I was accustomed and it took me a few days to "settle in", but after those few days, I was the "baby." Everyone just adored me...of course being so tiny and solid black helped a bit, too! I have so many new "Aunts"...Mom's friends all adopted me...*S*. I just LOVE all of the attention everyone gives to me! *Huge Kitty Grin*
I do tend to get into trouble at times...nothing terrible...just like to pull the ivy from the living room mirror, climb up Mom's lace curtains, swing a little from her curtain rod (that's one of my favorite things to do!!), and sneak on top of the refrigerator and knock a magnet down at her every once in awhile...*hehehe*
I was 3 months old when Mom adopted me and I turned 5 years old this past July 3rd...so, I'm grown up although I don't think I'm too big for a kitty. I had dark green eyes, but they have turned to yellow-green. I love to snuggle on the sofa and the bed. Having my own little bed, I sometimes sleep there, mainly when Mom is busy doing paperwork at the desk. Mom thinks it is so cute when I jump up onto the top of the entertainment center and play "King of The House"...bear in mind that entertainment center is almost 7 foot high, so it is quite a jump for me, but I cheat and use the stairway behind it to gain some height when I jump!! Playing with my toys is another favorite pasttime...my stuffed mice and balls are my absolute favorites!! Once a week I send Mom on a "toy retrieval" mission...I have a tendency to get them lodged under the dining room hutch, entertainment center, and bedroom dressers. Plus, that's a good way to ensure that Mom will take time out and play with me!! *Kitty Grin* My newest antic is that I've figured out how to open cupboards...I started with the lower cupboards on the dining room hutch and I've graduated to all of the lower kitchen cabinets. I haven't mastered the upper cabinets and I think I'm giving Mom enough with which to contend at the moment! *hehehe*

Uh Oh!!! Mom caught me in action in this pic!! Another of my favorite things to do is to climb into her wicker laundry baskets...they are so much fun to play in, especially when she has clothing and towels folded in them and I knock it all outside of the basket!! *hehehe*
I was lounging on Mom's bed while she was cleaning at home, but she took a break and sneaked up on me and took this pic...she calls it my "Lazy Days" pose.

P.S. Hey, I now have a little sister named "Tiffany"....Mom adopted her in August of 2002 and we just love hangin' out together and playin' and gettin' into things at the house!
