"Besides the fact that we look so good?" joked six-time nominee Twain, who picked up awards for best female country vocal and best country song for her hit, "You're Still the One." "I think really women are just being taken more seriously, and if you look around you in the world today, all professions have women rising to the top. Music is no exception. We're just rising to the top of our field like women are doing in all the other fields," she said.

Country singer Shania Twain appears as a strawberry blonde in her video for That Don't Impress Me Much, which premieres Wednesday on the cable show CMT Delivery Room at 10 a.m. ET. The video, which plays off the Little Red Riding Hood legend, will be exclusive to CMT for the rest of 1998. "She looks fantastic," says designer Mark Bouwer, who came up with the look and created the leopard-print outfit that the natural brunette wears in the video, "because it's almost the exact color of her eyes."

Five Times Over Shania Twain's Come on Over has shipped more than 5 million copies, according to the Recording Industry Association of America, which certified the album quintuple platinum Sept. 2. That's half the total of Shania's record-shattering The Woman in Me, which has sold 10 million copies Shania Leads AMA Nominations Shania tops the list of American Music Awards nominees, illustrating her talent and success in multiple musical genres. Her five nominations are for Favorite Female Artist in both the Pop/Rock and Country categories; Favorite Album (Come On Over), also in both Pop/Rock and Country; and Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist. Winners will be announced during a live broadcast Jan. 11 on ABC.
