A man who had so much more dreams to
accomplish and happiness to give to the world, has
been pulled away from us at a very young age.
August 30th 1998 Denniz PoP passed on, after
having struggled against the cancer for the last
months. The death of Denniz PoP is a
undescribably great loss for everybody who knows
him and for the world of music.
Denniz PoP was without any doubt Swedens most well-known and successful
producer. He had written and produced music for more than ten years,
starting at Swemix together with Stonebridge, JJ and Emil Hellman. The
productions at Swemix include Dr. Alban, DaYeene, Kayo and many more.
In 1992 Denniz formed Cheiron together with Tom Talomaa. At that time
Cheiron was a record-company as well as a production-company. The first
Denniz PoP release at Cheiron that earned great recognition was Dr. Alban.
Since then Denniz PoP has written and produced songs for many of the
greatest artists in the world, such as *NSync, Ace of Base, Backstreet Boys, 3T,
Robyn, Leila K and E-type. Records written and produced by Denniz PoP
have been sold in many tens of millions of copies.
The last groups and artists Denniz worked with were Jassic Folcker, Solid
Harmonie and Five.
