Here's an interview with Half Entity 1/2 of the group The Unknown who you should really check out.

Da Jointstallion: Where do you guys come from and reside from now?

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): We're both from Grand Rapids, Michigan USA. Born and raised.

Da Jointstallion: How old are you guys?

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): I'm 20 and 50/50 is 22.

Da Jointstallion: How did you connect?

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): We connected thru blood, and love for this hip hop music. I started doing music and then 50/50 got into it.

Da Jointstallion: Who does your production?

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): I've done all the production for The Unknown so far. I've done like 100 bangin tracks. I'm teaching 50/50, Immortal, and The Virus how to make beats to so w'ell be hearing some of their creations soon also.

Da Jointstallion: Are you currently shopping around to sign with a major label?

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): Well if we hooked up with some big names, such as Wu Tang, Def Jam, or Someone connected to Organized Noise, or just a good negotiable deal, then we'd sign but until we hear from some of them we'll be doing our thang ourselves.

Da Jointstallion: I've listened to a couple of your songs and they are songs that make you think mostly "Moral Of The Story" and "Understanding" do you want people to think about your views on everything.

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): Yeah, we wanna uplift minds and teach people, so they don't go thru the same shit we went thru. We just try to be ourselves and display what we've learned in life so the younger cats can get that vision and handle their situations differently.

Da Jointstallion: Have you ever worked with artists we might have heard of, and/or do you plan on making songs with any major hip hop artists?

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): We haven't worked with any well known artists. We would love to but there's just not that many in Michigan at all. We gotta travel, then we will hopefully work with some big cats. But yeah that's definitely in our plans, we got a lot pf people we would love to work with.

Da Jointstallion: Do you like to battle other mc's and if you had a chance who would you battle in a freestyle session.

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): Yeah we like to battle, we battle eachother sometimes. We're not like all the other cats, we don't just go around trying to battle everyone, of course if any MC's start a battle we'll get down too. But we don't just go looking for it.

Da Jointstallion: Who influenced you guys to get into the hip hop industry.

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): I was influenced by everyone, the cats back in the day, the west coast cats, east coast, south. I can say I've mostly been influenced by the Wu Tang Clan and the Dungeon Family. I know 50/50 been mostly influence by the Southern Music, such as Dungeon Family, Eightball & MJG. We both love them all.

Da Jointstallion: You both are great on the mic, how long does it take you to write a verse for a song?

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): It depends if, I'm really feeling it, I can lay a verse in ten or twenty minutes, but somedays it takes an hour or two. I know 50/50 takes a little longer, a few hours.

Da Jointstallion: If you have an album coming out when do you plan on releasing it.

Half Entity (Half of The Unknown): We definitely have an album dropping it was finished ajust yesterday. We will be releasing it in February 2000. It is definitely banging. You can order it at our website: http://thaunknown.virtualave.net
