Soundtrack's at one time used to have songs that went with the movie and Any Given Sunday does try to do that with some of the songs, but the mix of Hip Hop and Hard Rock just doesn't work for the most part.

The Hip Hop songs are a mix of great songs and a few terrible songs. Capone-N-Noreaga bring one of their best songs since coming back together for "Reunion". EZ Elpee brings another nice beat as he is proving to be quite a good producer. LL Cool J brings a pretty good effort on "Shut Em Down" produced by DJ Scratch. LL Cool J is also in the film."Shut Up" is a straight up wack posse-cut by Trick Daddy, Deuce Poppi, Trina, and Co. The beat isn't too bad, but the lyrics are plain terrible. Jamie Foxx tries to rap for some reason and collaborates with two respected mc's Common and Guru, but still comes with a terrible song for the title track. Mystikal gets the award for most fired up song with "Jump", the Neptunes provide another crazy beat for Mystikal to rhyme on. The album also has many rock songs by P.O.D., Kid Rock, Hole, Godsmack, and Overseer.

Just another Soundtrack, which is a piece of garbage with a few highlights that make it nice to have.
