Belly was the movie that featured Method Man, Nas, and DMX acting on a pretty terrible movie directed by video man Hype Williams thankfully the Soundtrack has some moments that work out.
The soundtrack has its moments like most soundtracks and has its shit. "Grand Finale" takes N.W.A.'s Niggaz4Life "Prelude" as DMX, Nas, and Method Man all have nice verses, but nothing special. Ja-Rule provides the terrible hook. "Crew Love" is the best song as The ROC mc's Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel, and Jay-Z show their love for each other. Beanie brings the best verse as he plays monopoly with fake thugs. Noreaga gives a heartfelt tribute to his father on the EZ Elpee produced "Sometimes". There are also dope performances from Sauce Money, Made Men, and The LOX. There are a few R&B tracks that don't mix well with the Hip Hop.
Overall Belly has enough good material to make it one of the better soundtracks, which isn't saying too much.
Top 3 Songs:
1. Pre-Game - Sauce Money, Jay-Z
2. Crew Love - Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek
3. Tommy's Theme - Made Men, The LOX
