Hip Hopinion Column (What the Source like)

by Rapwiz

This is a new column. I buy The Source every month and of course if your a Hip Hop fan this magazine is the best, but of course there is shit in their that I have to expose as garbage. I will also try to show some of the cool stuff also. So lets get this going

Reviews for December 2000

Outkast gets 4 Mics, which is what I gave it so that is right on point.

Scarface receives 4.5 Mics, which may be overrated a bit, but Scarface deserves props for this album.

Black Eyed Peas gets a low review of 3 Mics, I gave it 4 Mics and I have seen many higher ratings than what The Source gave it.

Flesh-N-Bone gets 3
Field Mob gets 3.5
Silkk The Shocker gets 3.5
Mystikal gets 3.5
Sticky Fingaz gets 4 Mics (Check this album out for sure)
Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek gets 4 Mics, I gave it 4.5, The Source disses the album by putting it as the 9th review, when it should of been in the top 4.
Ludacris gets 3.5 Mics

The Source gives the cover to Eve, which is a disappointment since Outkast brought their fourth release and received 5 mics for their last release Aquemini. I think Outkast deserved the cover.

Hip Hop Quotable - I love this part of the magazine, I collect these things and Sticky Fingaz received it this month for "Money Talks" where he raps as the green stuff.

The Source also has another article with Snoop Dogg, which is getting very uninteresting. It seems like he is in there nearly every month.

Outkast doesn't even get an article in the magazine.

This is the annual Sex Issue, which is usually the worst issue of the year since it' basically doesn't have much to do with Real Hip Hop. The Source does try to make an article about Pornography being joined to Hip Hop nowadays. Which is an article to skip, except it does have some nice photos. HaHa.

That's it for this month
