In '89 3rd Bass debuted with their best piece of work with The Cactus Album. MC Serch and Pete Nice showed it doesn't matter what color you are as they showed great rhyming skills.

The Cactus Album is a long album with many interludes. On the b-side they do the best with "Wordz Of Wizdom" the beat is used on the recent "Movin' Out" Remix by Mya, Raekwon, and Noreaga. 3rd Bass represent Brooklyn excellent on "Brooklyn-Queens" and "Product Of The Environment" has a jazzy sound which works. "The Gas Face" is produced by Prince Paul as they say who and who doesn't get the gas face.

Overall The Cactus Album had beats and lyrics that work excellent and was a huge success for white mc's. Only The Beastie Boys came before them, but after this album Vanilla Ice came and changed things.
