| We first met online in November of 1996 at a great chat site called CHATCOM. I had just become a guardian there (Guardian Honey™) and he was a newbie to the net (Brutus) He was the quiet shy type that sneaks up on you when you least expect it. |
| Since we only lived about an hour away from each other, he convinced me to meet him in person. We met December 21, 1996 at a restaurant named "Mario's". I was sitting at the bar when he arrived. I thought to myself that he was kinda cute. Dark hair, mustache, nice eyes. It was not love at first sight, but he was really sweet and he thought I was fun loving. The next time we met was for New Years Eve that year. He worked nights so he made special arrangements to be able to stay with me until we rang in the new year, but then he had to get to work. |
| Our next real date was February 14th, 1997. Yes, we went out on Valentine's day for our first "real" date. We each had bought a little stuffed bear. The one he bought for me was white and holding a heart that said "be mine". The one I gave him was brown holding a silk heart. Even then we seemed to share the same thoughts without any words. :-) |
| By September of 1997, we were inseparable so we decided to move in together. At first, he had to drive an hour each way to work, but eventually he was able to find a job closer to our home. This made life MUCH easier!!!! |
| On September 26th 1998, Bob took me to the Space Needle for a wonderful birthday dinner. It was after dinner that he presented me with three things. First, a card that wished me a happy birthday and said how much he loved me, with a brochure of Hawaii inside. Second, a "Seattle Bride" magazine and third, a beautiful diamond ring with two hearts on the band. This was the night he asked me to be his wife. |
