How to make Mom Cry
Have you ever thought how many times
                          You made your mom cry
And how many times you always thought
                         Mom's never die!
And how many times you stopped and thought
                        But never realized
That she's the one you turn to
When its your turn to cry.
Have you ever thought when you were just a child
                       Your mom held you tight
                      When she heard you cryin
In your little bed at night!
                        And you were always glad
When mom turned on the light
Have you ever thought how many times
                     You had a little hurt!
And mom made it all better
When she washed away the dirt
And never cared how mom felt
As tears fell on her skirt.
Have you ever thought about how many times
                   Your mom prayed for you
                   With all those little problems
And no thought of what to do.
While she didn't cause the problem
She's the one your turnin' to
Have you ever thought why she's so mean
                   You couldn't have your way
And always thought when just a teen
How dumb she was to say
"Be careful now" and held back tears
                       When you would go away
Have you ever thought in later years
                        Where mom was comin' from
And then you thought about her tears
                       Those days seemed so dumb
As your baby words echo now
                            "I don't like you mom!"
Now you never thought it'd be your turn
When you were just a teen
Your thoughts are now a memory
                         When you treated mom mean
                           And now your teardrops fall
                           On another teenage scene
God knows the times you went to bed
And your mom laid and wept
                               While you laid in anger
                               And thought your mom slept
Now its your turn to sleep
                           On a pillow soakin wet
And as the dream of times gone by
                             That seems like yesterday
Now you know, that mom's die
                             Sometimes to late to pray
But now's that chance, to make mom cry
And all you have to do is
                             I'm sorry Mom-
                             And I love you!!
