"Beauty And The Beast"
Beauty met the Beast
last week at the annual
Fuck-Up Ball
held by Prince Disarming
and his Knights of Despair.
“May I have this dance?”
Asked Beauty (the male in this version)
but the Beast ignored him and went back
to unsuccessfully folding her paper napkin into a bird
(so she could fly away from all of this)
Beauty, so captivated
by the Beast’s cold demeanor,
(his attraction to pain was one caused by years of neglect,
say the experts)
noticed the bird
she was attempting to make.
He smiled, and went back to his table.
(sitting next to the Queen of Broken Hearts and the Psychotic Hatter)
He took his napkin and
with his thin fingers
folded it into a present for the Beast.
He then stole Sleeping Beauty’s napkin
(she passed out on an overdose of sedatives and folded it into yet another present
for the girl he had his eye on.
“My Lady” murmured Beauty
as he dropped the two gifts
into the Beast’s lap.
Beauty then walked away.
(to go talk to one of the seven dwarfs, about his birth defects)
The Beast looked up,
she had not seen her admirer,
too busy was she
dissecting the reasons of her scars
and staring at a picture
of her abusive ex-boyfriend. *~she deserved it~*
In her lap
lay a beautiful paper crane
with wings
to carry her away from her pain
and a paper heart
with the words
“Happily Ever After”
written in thin lines of blood.
She looked around the room
searching for a King
among the lowly peasants.
She found no crowns though,
or royal robes.
No one even looked
at her forlorn figure.
*~she was invisible to all of them~*
A tall man began walking towards her.
(his name was Jack)
His muscles rippled,
his hands were strong.
(they could do so much damage)
The Beast grew curious,
enticed by his powerful,
hating eyes.
She almost arose to speak with him
as he pushed her aside
and went to talk to Jill. (the AIDS infected whore)
The Beast grew angry at herself
for expecting to much
and receiving nothing.
*~she was worthless~*
She did see though,
(before she began to draw
pretty pictures on her arms
with a knife)
a boy
whose eyes told of wisdom
beyond his years.
He smiled faintly at her (too scared she would bite?)
and began walking towards her.
The Beast became frightened.
She sensed that he know more about her
than even she knew.
*~much more than he should know~*
She looked around quickly
for some
oversexed, Captain Hook
to throw herself upon,
in order to keep the boy from approaching.
But as she searched
a cold hand touched her bare shoulder
sending warmth down her spine.
She turned
to see Beauty,
looking at her
with his
beautiful *~no~* dark *~no~* eyes *~no~*.
The Beast panicked
and in a rush to protect herself
from Beauty,
drew her knife
and stabbed at his chest.
He stood still, looking sadly
upon her.
The knife drew no wounds.
(he only hurt inside)
The Beast saw
her attempt was in vain
and she felt a wonderful fear
warm up inside
She stood up
(knocking over the Hookah-smoking Caterpillar’s drink,
he didn’t even notice)
and ran out of the Ball.
(leaving behind footprints)
And Beauty followed.
He followed her to a cliff,
where she stood, trembling at the edge.
*~ set me free set me free~*
She jumped
falling to her Hell.
(among all the wicked stepmothers and
evil witches she could imagine)
Beauty saw, and jumped after her
as he jumped
beautiful ebony wings
spread from his back.
so not not intimidate her with his problems)
He picked up her broken body
from among the ruins of the Fallen
and as his tears
slowly dripped
down his emaciated cheeks,
Beauty placed the paper bird
in one of Beauty’s hands
and the heart in the other.
He lifted her in his arms
and flew into the starry nights sky.
Away, to NeverAgain Land.
