Bonnie Binklecakes
This little thing was born in late September.  It is supposed that she was born September 15.  The way I ended up with the little terror is sort of an interesting story.

During the summer, my brother brought home this half-beaten orange male kitten.  He could not meow worth beans.  It was my sophmore year in high school and I had just joined cross country.  And, as the story goes, my sister accidentally left the back door open, and out slipped Dexter, never to be seen again.  I was somewhat upset over this, after all, this makes the second cat I lost in one year.  So, I decided to wait for the next year before I got another cat.

Low and behold, in October, my math teacher had a slight feline problem.  Her father had a female cat, and unfortunately, the poor creature was presumed eaten by coyotes.  She left behind three mother-dependent kittens.  One of which was Bonnie.

My family adopted her with open arms on October 5 when she was approximately 3 weeks old, but as she grew older, she would resist the attention we would always give to her.  She then acquired the following names:  Snot Cat, UniBonnie, Bonnicula, and, of course, Bonnie Binklecakes.

Many people always ask me how my cat got such a unique name.  Well, here it is!  The story of how I came up with the word "Binklecakes."

I wanted Bonnie's name to be unique since there were already several Simbas and Nalas in my small town.  So I sat on the recliner and thought for a while.  I finally said aloud, "Bonnie!"  And so she was called.  But to me, her name lacked that necessary length which makes it sound more glamorous, like a movie star's name.
Well, one evening my sister was making some cupcakes, and I was continually begging her for one when they were finished since the batter was hands-off.  My brother came in with my little baby Bonnie, and somehow she was scared and started to run through the kitchen.  I gave chase and shouted out, "come here you little binklecake!"  My mom over-heard me and from that point on she always used it when she'd refer to Bonnie.  For a while I grew sick of the name.  But it is catchy, so I use it for her "last" name.  And as the years went by, her name grew longer and longer.  Now I have sufficiently lengthened her name to Bonnie Boo Bonbon Baby Beebee Bella Binklecakes.  I've stopped adding now.  After all, that's a long name for a cat.
