We're Parents!!!!
Mike and I are the proud parents of Katelynn Adelle Ann and Michael Aaron Robert Nathan. Katelynn is 5 years old and Michael Aaron 2. It's so fantastic having a boy and a girl and though I have twinges of baby cravings for a little girl...I've told Mike we're not having a 3rd baby until #1. we'd be guaranteed a baby girl #2. we were millionaires and #3. labor & delivery is PAINLESS *lol*!
This page was originally just to brag about our little girl but since Michael Aaron has been born, I'll be taking some time to rearrange this page a bit. So check back as I'll be making changes periodically (WHEN I HAVE THE TIME! *lol*).
Our daughter Katelynn was due on the September the 24th, 1997 but was born on the 12th in 1997. We were in the hospital for 5 days with some minor complications but that's in the past and all is fine now. She weighed 8lbs 14oz, she was 20 7/8 inches long and her hair color was light brown with red highlights & the color of her eyes were steel blue like her Daddy's :) Now she weighs 50lbs, stands at 3 feet tall, her hair color is blonde (with hair down her back) about the only thing the same are her gorgeous colored eyes. She's a happy and healthy 5 year old who's just started first grade and we enjoy her immensely. She's smart & funny with a remarkable memory. She very creative and loves to paint and draw, do crafts, sing and play with her friends. While I was expecting Baby #2 she was adamant that she wanted a baby sister but the moment that Michael Aaron was born she latched right on to him and exclaimed that he was HER baby! You'd never have known that she wished for a girl the way that she dotes on him. I'm so glad too!
Our son, Michael Aaron, was born at home on May 17th, 2001. His birth was attended by 2 midwives, a doula, Mike, and Katelynn. It was an all day ordeal but a fantastic experience not to mention a hard labour because he was posterior until just before he entered the world. At birth he was 7 pounds, 4 ounces and 20 inches long (much smaller than his sister). He had a little bald head with just a bit of fuzzy light colored hair and he's got gorgeous blue eyes like his Daddy & Sissy. We didn't know WHAT color he'd end up with because when he was born he didn't have blue eyes, more like a dark brown on the outside and a brownish hazel on the inside...very cool! Now he's a rambunxious two year old boy...so full of life and energy. Talks brilliantly for his age, such a sense of humor he's always got us in stitches when he doesn't have us running ragged chasing after him. *LMAO* He desperately wanted to go with Katelynn to her first day of school poor boy, he didn't care in the least that he wasn't old enough, he said, "I wanna go school too!" Ahhh Michael Aaron! *LOL*
