my tears fall;
silently...
slowly...
upon the roses you left for a broken heart.
each one,
slipping perfectly onto its own petal,
resting there
life dewdrops from the early morning.
your touch;
so tender...
so perfect...
your words;
reached into my soul,
healing what was painful;
bringing light into the darkest places.
i carry your smile in my heart.
your laughter rings all around me.
i can still feel your eyes gazing at me;
deep into my heart,
into my soul,
reading my every thought,
predicting my every mood.
colors;
cast into a world of white
swarming around a black hole
as if guarding something precious,
loved,
invaluable,
though i am alone,
i can search my spirit
and find parts of you there,
chiseled in stone.
forever.
this stone is here;
with me,
wherever my mind
and body
