from joy, not sadness.
The Gift of a promise,
to always be there.
The Gift of sweet words,
who's existance forgotten
The Gift of a whisper,
instead of harsh words.
The Gift of acceptance,
and not being shunned.
The Gift of non-judgement,
for things not one's fault.
The Gift of laughter,
and not of tears.
The Gift of true friendship,
with no strings attached.
The Gift of honesty,
without question.
The Gift of listening,
a true lost art.
The Gift of warmth,
in what was a cold world.
The Gift of emotion,
as a heart swells.
The Gift of being,
after lost so long.
The Gift of rebirth,
from a long stagnant life.
The Gift of peace,
in heart and mind.
The Gift of approval,
no words need be spoken.
The Gift of love,
not bought and paid for.
The Gift of patience,
much needed at first.
The Gift of a heart,
once cold, filled with warmth.
The Gift of no fear,
to be ones self.
The Gift of flight,
and of freedom to be.
Gifts so precious,
were bestowed on me.
