Some of you may be surprised that I added this page on positive thinking. Certainly I am not always in a positive mood and quite frankly, often times I don't want to be. I don't want to be cheered up, I want to wallow in my bad or depressed mood. And in my eyes, that is ok…sometimes. It is when this mood permeates into our being and in all aspects of our lives that it is dangerous. It is no longer a place that you visit every once in a while, but a place you live.
When you live in this self-defeating state, it causes you to lose confidence and hope. The negative thoughts take hold and grow roots in your sub-conscience, undermining everything you do. That is why it is important, crucial even, to dig out the negative thoughts and plant positive thoughts in their place. Thoughts that reassure you and that give you more confidence, not less.
You can do this several ways. You can read self-help books on motivation and positive thinking. You can repeat positive thoughts to yourself often enough that they become second nature. You can get hypnotic treatment. I have tried all these methods and they work great. I hope that by providing these links, you can overcome the negative thoughts that life plants in our brains and replace them with positive ones.
