    This text discusses the basics of different runner colors, markings, and gaits. It includes illustrations for those with graphical browsers.

  • Runner Breeds Reference Manual
    This excellent book by Matison discusses the different runner breeds we have available to us, including where they're from and their characteristics. NOTE: This text is supplementary reading, but it is to be used as a reference, and does not need to be learned by heart.

  • Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hooves (But Were Afraid to Ask)
    This short pamphlet by Shala discusses the anatomy of the hoof and some standard ailments that afflict it, plus a couple of ways of dealing with them.

  • Don't Panic! A Guide to Dealing With Unexpected Injuries
    Another short pamphlet by Shala, this talks about ways to prepare for the unexpected, as well as how to deal with problems when they occur.

    Written by Herder Lisa, this discusses Combined Training competition, detailing the events of the different days, and how they are combined to determine the winner.
