Pacey is sort of the "underdog" of the group. He gets turned down by girls his own age on a regular basis and isn't the brightest of people either. His ex-English teacher, Tara, who is 36 seems to be the only female to find attraction to him. Their relationship is hot and heavy until word got out, and both of their futures were at stake. Paceys' teacher quit her job and moved away.
After Pacey got paired up with Joey for a school science lab, he seemed to have developed a crush on her. He tried to get together with her, but she turned him down. He has seemed to have been "fighting" over her with Dawson for a while. Pacey had also been trying to get Dawson to admit his feelings about Joey.
When the beauty pagenat came up, Pacey was all for the opportunity to strut his stuff out. He had signed up thinking that he was a real contestant, and not just some joke as everyone else had made him out to be. After he found out the bad news, he turned the pageant upside-down with his spoof of Braveheart. I thought that his routine was hillarious.
This season Pacey becomes the ladies pimp. He finds himself in a love-hate relationship with the new girl from Rhode Island, Andie. His friends forget his 16th birthday and Tamara makes her return selling realstate. The two only get as far as a very passionate kiss.
Andie takes a liking to him and confesses her feelings for him to his best friend Dawson. Their romance gets off to a rocky start when for the first date Pacey has the misfortune of meeting Andies crazy mother. Also, he couldn't resist the temptation to put the moves on Christina- only the most desired girl among the guys at Capeside- at Homecoming.
