Well, I just graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a bachelor's in science, majoring in biology. I'm not sure what I'll be doing next year, but for sure I don't wanna return to any undergad program.

I'm the oldest child in my family. I've got two younger brothers and a younger sister. Saqib is in grade 12 at Dakota Collegiate, Mahwash in grade 8 and Furqan is in grade 3.

I was born and raised as a Muslim, and have every intention of dieing as a Muslim. My parents are originally from Pakistan; punjabi to be specific. I guess people may ask if I'm a CBCD, well I ain't. I know exactly what I wanna do in life and were I wanna be a few years down the line!

Us kids were all born and raised here Winnipeg. My dad came here in 1975 from TO and before that he was in England. We originally lived in the west-end. But we moved out of this area right before it got really bad. I guess its considered the 'hood of Winnipeg. We moved to Tyndal Park, it's this immigrant area. But then after a few years we moved to the Maples. Maples was DA BOMB! Like, whites in that area are a minority! I went to Ken Seaford and Maples Collegiate. But a few years back we sold our house and bought a house next the local Masjid here in Winnipeg…neat huh! The cool thing is that whenever we get an outside speaker at the Masjid, we always bring them over for tea or drinks…we got Imam Siraj and Sheikh Abdullah Idris to come last time they were in town!
